However, one of the reasons for choosing Wordtracker over Keyword Discovery for our purposes is simply due to the cost. Wordtracker is much more affordable and gives us great keyword results. However, if you’re looking for something with a little bit more “umph”, Keyword Discovery might be the tool for you. Just be prepared for a larger learning curve than Wordtracker and a higher cost as well.

NicheBot Classic – Nichebot classic is also a very useful tool for your keyword
research. You can create a free account with them or simply enter in a CAPTCHA image each time you search on a keyword.

The Google Keyword Research Tool - Google also offers a free keyword researchtool. You simply enter in a keyword and Google will return to you all related keywords as well as how much traffic those keywords received in the previous month as well as over the last 12 months.
I’d suggest that if you’re going to use a free keyword research tool, I’d stick with the Wordtracker free tool or the Nichebot Classic free keyword tool. Google’s numbers tend to be skewed quite a bit since they incorporate keywords from not only their Google.com searches but also from emails, blogs, and “other programs.”
