I created BoneheadSEO for one purpose. To make SEO easy to understand regardless of what your level of knowledge is regarding search engine optimization or search engine marketing.
It all came about due to countless conversations with individuals, clients and other companies that I work closely with. What I discovered is that overall people fall into certain categories:
- Some people have no idea why they should market their website online.
- Some people know they should market their website online but are stuck like a “deer in the headlights” and have no idea where to begin.
- Some people understand the basics of marketing their website online but make bad choices due to mis-information.
Still others aren’t sure even how to do the simple things that many of us take for granted. Things like:
- How to set up a blog;
- How to post to a blog;
- How to use social marketing;
- How to bookmark a web page and why it’s important;
- and so, so much more.
There are lots of great SEO companies online; many very popular and well-known. But sometimes these sites make the average person feel as if you’ve got to have a PhD in marketing just to understand what they’re talking about.
The fact is, the average website owner just wants information that’s easy to understand, that talks at their level, and that will help them get better notoriety in the search engines.
That’s why BoneheadSEO the site and BoneheadSEO Course was created. It gives sage SEO advice that even the most novice website owner can understand. I believe that far too many assumptions are made regarding what people actually *know* regarding search engine optimization and marketing online in general which only ends up leaving people more confused than they were when they began.
This is not to say that BoneheadSEO won’t cover some very advanced topics, but we’ll do it in such a way so that the details are explained, the reasons “why” are always present, and that the user or viewer can walk away feeling as if they’ve learned something today.
